ok so i REALLY like this boy and i sorta made up this thing that this geeky girl likes him (but she doesn't) so that i have a reason to talk to him and i've always liked him even since last yr. and the girl freaks him out and he wants to "pre-tend" to have a gf so she won't "bother" him (even tho i was making up everything she supposely said) and i think he wants me to be his pre-tend gf but to me i think it's an excuse to ask me out. and i think he likes me but then again i tend to think that he wants to just get rid of this geeky girl. so pleaz help me i'm sooooo confused!

Well, first off, its bad to lie, but we all do(especially when it comes to hott guys) but he might have you tagged in "friend" territory if he's asking for help. And if you're SURE he said pretend gf, then you might have a problem. I know lying is bad but this is a GREAT time to start hanging out with this guy. You can get to know him and become closer. In the meantime, start talking to ms. geek. if you feel secure enough (once u and hott guy get to know eachother) you can say (to him) you convinced her to like someone else and shes over you. you will look like a hero and he'll probably like you even more. PS DO NOT tell this girl about ur lie. Bad plan

What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive! I don't see much future for a relationship built on untruths. Then again, he is too truthful either, is he? Good luck with this.

one thing that i think is VERY important is the fact that new relationships cant be based on lies. Follow that, apologize to him, and trust me if he wants u to be his "pretend" gf then he would also like you to be his "real" gf

Try to drop hints that you would be his "pretend" gf. If that happens, then give it some time and then tell him u want to be his gf for real.
