Nutro Weight Management has both corl glueton (s?) meal and soybean oil. Both soy and corn are bad for digestion in dogs. What I would recommend would be Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul. This is what I use. I have a Shih Tzu pup that had gas that would blow out the windows of the house with her gas. Since I put her on this food, the problem is gone.
Good Luck!

What breed is it? I posted some links that may help...I currently feed Nutro Dog food also, and you may want to look into that sensitive stomach formula see link below...also look into a supplement for that weight condition, I have tried regular K-9 Slim Down or the Plus (which is new to me) chewable tablets by Pet Naturals. Also a Link Below for details...I had to use them on my dog in the past, and over the course of a month she slimed up beautifully and I wasn't able to walk her, because it was very cold outside. Hope I was alble to help! :)

I am afraid my friend, that the choice of dog food is the problem. The first ingredient, CORN causes gas and is hard for the dog to digest. Do you feel like passing out when your pet passes gas? Although the smell may be terrible, in most cases, flatulence is not indicative of a serious medical condition. Unless it's coupled with diarrhea or vomiting, intestinal gas usually means that your animal companion has eaten something he can't digest properly. The culprit most often tends to be excess carbohydrates, which contain sugar and starch that ferment in your pet's intestine. Pedigree Ingredients: Ground Whole Corn, Meat and Bone Meal, Corn Gluten Meal, Animal Fat (preserved with BHA/BHT), Wheat Mill Run, Ground Wheat, Natural Poultry Flavor, Wheat Flour, Salt, Potassium Chloride, Carmel Color, Vegetable Oil (Source of Linoleic Acid), Rice, Wheat Gluten, Vitamins (Choline Chloride, dl-Alpha Tocopherol Acetate [Source of Vitamin E], L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate [Source of Vitamin C*], Vitamin A Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate [Vitamin B1], Biotin, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin Supplement [Vitamin B2], Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement), Minerals (Zinc Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Potassium Iodide), Added FD&C and Lake Colors (Yellow 6, Blue 2, Red 40, Yellow 5). I think your dog would do better if you fed a diet with more meat and less carbohydrates. Sorry, good luck withe the gas.

Azmira Lamb is my personal choice. If you arent in Arizona you need to order it online. Just search it. This food straighted my very gassy boxer right up. It is also all natural and is on The Whole Dog Journal list of best dog foods year after year. A bit of yougert (low or no fat preferably also works wonders for gas.

Nutro is high-quality... it's possible your dog has a sensitive stomach, but my first guess would be to research the breed. Some breeds (such as boxers) are known for their flatulence.

Plain yogurt or natural pumpkin added to the food will aid in healthful digestion. GL
