No, it's just a matter of lazyness. My brother isn't big on showering just because he'd rather sit in his room and play world of warcraft.

Showering in public can be difficult for people to do simply because being naked infront of other guys is just weird and not something you do normally unless you're at the gym, even then most people just go home and shower. Other guys are paranoid about being exposed to everyone, public nudity in America is not something that we really embrace nor is it really natural in our society. For some people it has to do with lack of confidence in their physique.
