What size fish you planning on catching?? you'll need a wire leader for the blues. If youre talking small bay blues and schoolies you can get away with the 12. Light action rod and reel with light line is alot of fun.

The weight of the lure doesnt have a thing to do with the strength line you use. Its the fish you catch.

If heavier line doesn't cut down on casting distance, go with the 15#. Otherwise, there's not that much difference between the two strengths as far as being visible to the fish or affecting the action of the lure.

I'd go with 15# test.
