Don't...

unless both people have a sufficient sense of compromise, sympathy and forgiveness.

Many relationships go down the drain because there's just too much "me" and not enough "we."

There's too much "take" and not enough "give."

Marriage really isn't rocket science; it just takes two people that are emotionally mature enough to live together in harmony, as opposed to arguing about every little thing that doesn't amount to squat.

There are certainly circumstances that are pretty much "deal breakers," but I've listened to too many divorced people, and they give you the impression that the bulk of the blame was always on the other person's shoulders.

right...

Some people shouldn't get married; they just don't have enough sense to realize it.

With 1 out of 2 people remaining married for life, why not get married?

If you are a Christian... Because that's the way that God intended it to be done...

If you are not a Christian, you can live together if you want... However, you may later realize that marriage gives you a little more security than a non binding relationship.

I think it takes more character to get married now. With the way that men treat women these days, finding one with out so much emotional baggage is like finding a needle in a field of haystacks.

Because if you are the other 1 out of 2, it's really special and magical and assuring.

I love being married, and I have for 15 and a half years.

Marriage is sanctioned by God. Divorce isn't. Most divorces are caused by one or both parties being selfish in one way or another. True followers of Christ will be introspectively honest with themselves and their self evaluations and make the proper changes in their lives to get back on tract.

When two people are in love, they think it will last forever and that they will not be 1 out of 2.

Because living together is fornication.
"Flee fornication,Every sin that a man doeth is without the body;but he that commiteth fornication sinneth against his own body" 1 Corinthians 6:18.
There are no statistic's for people that live together but rest assured there are more people splitting up who are not married than those who are.

people are not aware that once you have sex with a person you are married to them for life. Or once you come into the knowledge of the truth and repent and baptized. According to the bible.

So if you have had sex with 10 people you are married to those 10 people.

Because all of those other marriages that fail don't matter. It's only you and your spouse that matters. You and your spouse can decide to believe in marriage, to be dedicated to marriage and what that should mean.

You can decide to stick with it and work on your relationship even when it's hard. Lucky for me, I had a great example in my parents - they taught me that fights and hard times (even if they last years) are just temporary - marriage is forever.

Choose what you believe, make your decisions on it, and do you best to find someone who sees things the same way.
