How would the environment be affected of drinkable water if the population keeps on growing?

Also with more people, would there be more problems other than drinkable water like pollution, wastes, etc.

Its expensive,but the answer to drinking water,if it got that bad is desalinization of sea water,to drinking water,there are some plants that are operational but its very expensive to do,I think Catalina Island has a de -sal. plant
