Her's what happened on Sunday after drinking a bit and getting kinda clumbsy I fell and cut my leg on broken with broken glass. It was more like a stab. No glass got inside, but I have a pretty deep cut and huge a bruise on my leg. I'm not gonna go to a doctor, I'm pretty sure it will heal by itself, but want to know if anyone knows of anything to take the pain away. I tried pain killer and they aren't working. Is there some kind of topical med that I can get at like a drug store? It's an open cut so I can't use like bengay or those kind of things. By the way I won't be drinking anymore.

Try to find Bactine spray. It's a antibiotic and and local topical made just for small cuts and wounds.

The pain is due to air in the wound... superglue is an excellent way to close an open wound and keep the air out while allowing the tissue to heal together.

Squeeze both sides of the cut together so they are touching and then superglue it shut. You may have to reapply after getting it wet during shower, etc. but this will help.

The type of pain from bruising and injury (like the skin healing) are not covered but for muscle caused pain including referred pain see The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies - written so the average person can read and get rid of most pain by themselves.

if its that sore that regular pain meds arent really hitting it, it may be getting infected, glass is dirty and you cannot guarantee that there arent any small particles left in it,, if its deep it needs wash out and stitches... i would go and let a dr look at it if i were you....
sort out the root of the problem, nothing topical will help here

cuts can turn into blood poisoning, you are really gambling with your health, topicals are not any good with cuts.Since you took pain killer? and It did not help ,you should see a doctor now.
