Beside using Alt + a number, you can also go to the Insert Menu and select Symbol, and then select the ¿. It will give you the correct numbers to use with Alt, if you'd rather use key strokes. You'll also find all of the letters with accent marks.

If you have a Mac, this is easy. Option-shift-? like so: ¿

If you have a PC, this is anything but easy. You either have to change your keyboard options to International something-or-other, or use the archaic numerical code. I don't know how to do either, but I'm sure you can find out via a web search.
