Like, tonight I want to make risotto and I have watercress, lemons, mushrooms, etc.

Anyone know of anything like that?

The two sources below are great for just what you're looking for.

Was chatting with friends the other night at a little Irish pub in Chicago when this great idea came up. One of them has a little menu that she has made up for her kitchen. It's a listing of ten recipes that she can do without even having to look at a cook book. She's created names for them and a brief description.

So when a friend comes over and suddenly it's dinner -- she has the menu, all the ingredients in her fridge or cupboards and can do it from memory (cook times, sauces, oven temp, etc.).

I thought this was pretty cool!

I like bonappetit.com's feature "advanced search"--it really helps to find a recipe you can make with ingredients at hand. I use it a lot.
