That is a chromosomal disorder included in the "Trisomy" group of these disorders.When discovered at birth these newborns have a high pitched cry similar to a cat,hence the name in french meaning "the cry of the cat" Chromosomal disorders are usually picked up with studies of the amniotic fluid,and other prenatal screening.These babies have numerous other defects and problems.
