It is sometimes hard to not talk from our heads, but we really should reference scripture whenever possible. Why? Because the Bible says (:)) "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. "

Our own opinions are just that, but the Word of God is the truth, and, well, "The truth shall set you free" (that's a bonus)

I think you should pose your question in the following manner.
"Are you people really that illiterate, Biblically?"
Back to the books, for you, I'm afraid. And drop the King James English, friend, it's so 1500's.

Would you like to talk about being illiterate? Read your question, make grammatical improvements. Then we'll talk.

Most are, they just don't realize it. There are more people who read the Bible and don't understand it (even though they think they do) than those who do. Hey, dude, you could be one of 'em.

I studied it in college as an archaic text which is the way I prefer to look at it. It has no bearing on my everyday life but I do place it among The Iliad, Beowulf & the Gilgamesh Epic for interesing old stories.

I have read all scriptures in the Protestant and Catholic Bibles several times each. What are your qualifications presently?

I've read the Bible from cover to cover and still occasionally read parts of it....I find it interesting.

But I also do the same with the classics.
