my dog poops on my couch in the living room, we hardly sit on it or anything but he loves to poop on it! he pees in the right spot! does anyone know why he does this?!

He does this because he's either not potty trained, or because he has a medical issue that needs to be addressed. Take him to the vet to ensure that he hasn't lost control of his bowels first. If he checks out medically, then you need to start potty training again from step one. A good resource for steps to take in training is below:
