How do you pronounce Paul Gauguin (last name)? It's French if that helps any... thank you.

Gaugin : /’gəυgæn/ or /gəυ’gæn/
Both are correct.

I don't know French but what I've noticed is they love to drop of the last two or three letters in a word. I mean, they do it ALOT.

So in a pinch, pronounce it Gaugu, maybe with a very light 'in' sound.

Or screw your mouth all around and lift up your upper lip. Oh, wait, that's British!

The first part sounds like "go" and the last part sounds like the "gan" in gander. If you want to get picky, the "n" in gan is nasalized.

Yes, it's GO-GAN. This second part is like a mix between an A sound and an E sound.
