My dear, how old are you? A tablespoon is also referred to as a soup spoon. It's the large spoon in a table setting. For cooking, spoon sets are available with each one labled from 1/4 teaspoon up to 1 tablespoon. You have to use these for mixing ingredients.

The tablespoon in the big one in a set of measuring spoons. Three teaspoons make one tablespoon. Flatware spoons aren't accurate to measure for baking but fine for regular cooking.
