while. One day I got a piece of food stuck in it and tried to get it out. My
gum by the bridge got swollen so I called the dentist and she told me to
come in. She took a x-ray and told me that I needed a apicotemy, but when
the oral surgeon said I need that tooth extracted. Well the pain went away and I havent had any for about six months now. The dentist told me she would have to cut the bridge off and to replace it would cost 4000.00
dollars which I dont have. Well I was trying to get a piece of orange out of
my bridge and it came off. Do you think the dentist can recement it and if she says no. Can I insist. I dont not have the money. Thanks

Yes they can re-cement it back on... it will probably get loose again. Mine did, and I lost it & had to start all over and get a new crown.. $640!

Root canals depending on the doctor can be successful or not. Apicotomey means thats the doctor probably saw a cyst on the radiograph and if the oral surgeon said that you needed that tooth extracted that means there is something really serious happening to that tooth.
The tooth was traumatized and thats why you had the pain, now that the swelling is going down you wont feel the pain for a while. But with time that tooth can give you problems.
The doctor can re-cement the crown but you seriously have to think about that tooth.

Your teeth are very important to your over all health. I would suggest doing what the dentist say. If money becomes a problem with the care, check with your local dentist school if you have one.
Please remember, that bad teeth can also lead to heart disease.
