The guy asks the girl out. The guy pays for all the dinners when they are going out, BUT, the brides parents pay for the wedding

As the guy, play hard to get. Don't ask her out to dinner, start with a cup of coffee with both of you paying for your own order. Tell her she will call you tomorrow whether she likes it or not. Then when she calls, be busy for several nights. When she finally starts calling more and more (trust me, she will), say,
"Alright, ill let you take me out to dinner, but just this once." Then she will be paying for your dinner and you will stop being a wussy who always pays and then gets left.

I say, each pays for their own plate unless otherwise stated. My boyfriend always pays for everything, and I let him. I don't think its right for either to assume that the others paying. Which indeed was complicated for me when we started dating, because I am dirt poor and my boyfriend isnt, I had to make sure he knew that without embarrassing myself.

Because after marriage she will pay everything back by cocking the dinner at home.

First make sure you know the person and if you still really like her a lot you'd be willing to pay, right? or say 'let's go Dutch' before a date (pay half-half)

its a chivalric thing to do for the guy to pay... but now a days not all girls like that...
if i ask a guy out... i offer to pay, but sometimes they wont let me because i think it makes them feel like less of a man or something
if we make plans together... i offer to pay my half, but once again most guys like to pay.. some even take offense when i offer to pay my own way
if he asks me out... i make the reach for my purse but i do perfer if he pays since it was his idea...
i think its nice when the guy pays but not necessary... this is the 21st century right?

You don't have to go out for dinner. Use what you have in your house to make a very special dinner. She'll think you are creative.
Good Luck!

You usually got to pay because it's respectful for the man to pay for the woman
