With the ever increasing progress of DNA technology, genetic testing is becoming more and more common. What would be some of the consequences (good or bad) that we would be faced with, if emplyers started requiring prospective employees to undergo genetic testing as part of their interview process.

It would never happen. That is the ultimate violation of privacy. The ACLU would orgasm if anyone proposed such a thing.

Pros would include using a DNA database to show the history of someone who might have criminal record. In this way you would prevent someone that might have a bad history from the work place. Say for instance, it would prevent a child abuser from working in a nursery. It might also get people to think about what they are doing, knowing that if their DNA is on the database, it might act as a deterrant.

Cons would include the invasion of privacy. If you do not even have a choice it could aggravate people. It would feel like communism.
