boy you are gettin some weird comments i put it as this no matter standing or not if you are funny enough it will still work and if he / she wants to really do stand up thay make wheelchairs that can make you stand up so witch ever way you look at it works

that's funny and not in a mean way it's funny in a cute way that meaning you don't have to be standing to make comedy. It means you stand up and laugh at the person making the joke, to applaud them, to enjoy there sense of humor.
