It depends on what type of mange it is. I know sarcotic mange is contageous to humans. Either way, make sure you wash up after handling a dog with mange whether it's contageous or not.

demodex is not contagious, every dog actually has these mites, some dogs just experience "flair ups". sarcoptic mites are VERY contagious (also known as scabes) and can be passed to you, children, etc. sadly, demodex are the easiest to diagnose because sarcoptic burrow down into the skin and sometimes are missed on the tests the vet do. if you havent already, take the dog to the vet.

some are, and it depends on which kind. Mange comes in three varieties: Demodectic, Cheyletiella and Sarcoptic. It is caused by different species of mites, tiny eight-legged critters related to spiders. Sarcoptic can be transfered to humans. I have posted a link to a site below that I hope can help you. :)

There are two types of mange. One is contagious and dogs can get it from other dogs. The other is genetic and is not contagious to other dogs.
