Go to the doctor. Horses for courses. Different things work for different people, and not everyone is running the same course anyway. Serious cases require a steroid cream. Picking spots enough will scar, make that very clear. Get proper medical advise a.s.a.p, then they can recommend something to relief the itchiness. Good luck

I had the same problem. I refused to go to the doctors but finally got so fed up with them I went and i have now been prescribed a 'wash'. When I went to the doc's they looked at my spots for 2 seconds and knew what to prescribe. What they prescribe also depends on what the spots are like so don't just use off-the-shelf stuff, (ie Clearisil). O, and my spots are now starting to clear up and my skin is the best it has been in a very, very long time (i'm 15 1/2 btw)

Try to use natural products if possible, I had terrible skin till I went to Lush and they gave me a cheap and easy skincare regime that has worked.
Try using their cupcake face mask, it looks and smells like chocolate but is packed with antibacterials and helps to soften and renew the skin cells underneath. When you wash it off it acts as a really gentle exfoliant so it will take away all the dead itchy skin cells. Follow it with a tea tree toner to close pores and follow with a natural non greasy moisturiser from their range.
Some products like clearasil use chemicals so it can actually aggravate the issue rather than sort it out, I found they dried out my skin and made it itchy. Using all natural products doesn't strip the skin but hydrates it. It worked for me and costs me less than £15 for the whole skin care regime (cleanser, toner, moisturiser and face masks)
I hope this helps you xx

the key thing to have good skin is to drink alot of water and eat pomegranites. Because your daughters breaking out in spots, you shouldnt use a scented face wash; this will just irritate the pimples. With Clinque facewash, you'll see amazing results!

i think before buying a lot different products, u should go to GP who can give u the suitable gentle product for washing and cream. find the good one and put on face, maybe tea tree oil from body shop could help. and ask her not to use her hands picking or will leave terrible marks!

If the spots are itching badly, it isn't acne. Get her to a Dr. soon and have them identified before she ends up with scars on her face from itching and picking at them.

Ask your dermotologist to perscribe Ziana- a new acne gel. It works. It dried out all my pimple in weeks. I still use it to maintain skin clarity and wash my face with Cetaphil and moisturize with Cetaphil. I tried everything under the sun, inlcuding accutane twice.
Maybe its not pimples if they itch. Bring her to the skin doctor, so it can be properly diagnosed.
