I have the flu now, and my cat is sleeping with me at night?
How come this is possible? She is sensing that I feel bad? Another question that I have is, why does she like getting into plastics, like Wal-mart bags? It is a bad habit for me to have to always take away the plastic so she doesnt choke.

I've heard from various animal owners that they really think that their pets can "sense" when something is wrong with their owner, mainly from being so close to them all the time. I know when I'm not feeling well, or upset about something, my puppy likes to cuddle with me and won't leave my side. Maybe it's the whole nurture characteristic. And as far as the plastic bags, cats are very mischeivous (sp?) and like getting into things that they shouldn't! And I would recommend keeping the bags away from her just so something terrible doesn't happen. Hope I was of a little help to you!

No, its not a bad habit to take the plastic bags away. Why dont you put all the plastic bags to a place where she cant get to it. Then she will know that she cant find it and give up. You having the flu and her sleeping with you is a loving feeling towards you from her. She wants to show you that she will be there for you no matter what happens. Your doing good.

Good Luck

Hi, cats & other animals 'just kinda know', they can sense things. Hope you get over the flu soon!
About the plastic - have been told that plastics (maybe not all) are made with fish oil, or some use lanolin - and cats like to lick the plastic because of this. Also, just the crinkly noise of them, and they are just fun to play with! :)
We have a couple cats here who are notorious for finding all things plastic! LOL We have to make sure it is put up out of the way. Feel better soon!

Cats can sense if your sad and the question for why does she like getting into plastics, like Wal-mart bags? I don't really think it can "choke" your cat because our cat LOVES to play with the bags I don't know why..but he just does but if you somehow want your cat to play with the bags just cut the handles so then she won't stick her head into the holes and choke herself! ^_^ Good luck!

Cats can tell when you are not feeling good or you are sick or hurt.
As far as getting into your Wal Mart bags or plastic bags, it is because of the way the bags react when she is playing with it. i.e. stalking it, pouncing on it, attacking it, fighting it, etc. For some reason they just fascinate cats.

cats can sense if you are in a bad mood or sick. if u dont want her to sleep with you there isn't much you can do. all cats LOVE bags and any other small place that they can fit in to. so just try to keep those plactic bags in the trash and out of kitty's reach. she might stop with the plastic ones if you put out baskets and paper bags out for her. hope this helps!

LOL yeah they seem to have a sense of how we are feeling. My cats sure do. As for the plastics. my cats love plastics. They lick them. It is strange. God forbid I leave the bathroom closet open.
One of the nuts loves to chew on the plastic wrap to my pads. LOL, he watches me put them in my pocket book and will go in it to get them. The behavior of your cat is normal.

Animals have like a sixth sense =] they know when your sad happy blah blah. Your cat probably realizes that you're feeling bad and might not know why and is just trying to comfort you. wow u have a cool cat lol. and the plastic bag thing i think she just likes to stretch it and stuff or just like it. sorta like how cats often play with yarn. try to interest your cat with tassels or small mice toys instead.

excuse my spelling and grammer

2. plastic bags make a lot of noise which is very fun for cats

They can sense when you're sick. Also whenever your mood changes. As for the bag they are irresistible to cats. Mine attacks everything and is oh, so curious.
