for my obese friend's health? She's about 5'1 and has so weigh at least 170 pounds, if not 190! She has an extremely high self esteem and acts as if she's as skinny as a super model. Does she not notice her weight issue? I worry because it seems as if she has no problem with it. It's kind of sad and annoying at the same time. How can you not care about your weight?

Im sure your friend knows shes no kate moss, and her way of dealing with it is to ignore it. Its great that she acts like she has so much self confidence, but you have to wonder, does she really? Denial is a great way to deal with a problem, but it doesnt make it go away. Thats what friends are for! I dont think you should bring it up necessarily, but, maybe invite her to go to the gym with you...or out for salads. Its much easier to lose weight when you arent alone!

she probably really cares about it inside but puts up a front so she doesn't seem weak. you should ask her to go to a gym with you...that way you can be with her and support her through it...that would probably make her feel more comfortable and start to lose weight. and be cool and friendly about it! good luck!

You will always care about her weight because you care about her. Just try to talk to her about it, tell her that you really care about her and just wants the best for her.

I think you should tell her, but make sure you tell her without hurting her feelings.
