am i anorexic? i drink a slim fast every morning. eat something like a handful of wheat thins for lunch. and if i eat dinner its like a small salad or something... i don't want to be anorexic, but i just can't eat any more than that... i used to be anorexic. and i don't want to be fat. im scared to get fat... i dont want to be anorexic though.,..

Oh honey, yes, you do have an eating disorder. What you are doing can have DIRE health consequences. You are not consuming enough calories a day just to create the energy you need for your heart, lungs and other vital organs to function. Forget the fat - your organs are not even able to funtion at full capcity with what you described! Your skin, nails and hair are going to suffer! On the small amount of calories you are consuming, it goes straight to the most essential organs needed to keep you alive and anything left over will go to less vital organs like your skin.

I don't know how tall you are, but you need at least 1,200 calories a day just for your organs to funtion - and that's on the low side, if you are trying to lose weight. If you have been anorexic in the past, I don't mean to scare you - but you might already have organ damage - and by continuing to eat like this, you are going to make it worse! Please, please, please go see your doctor right away and tell him about this. You should also join a support group or talk to a therapist. Please believe me - there are much better ways to either stay slim or not "get fat" than this. And you can still enjoy food without getting fat! Believe me - being thin isn't worth dying for! What good is it going to do you to be the skinniest person in a cemetary? Please - TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR! Don't wait!!!!!!! I know I don't know you - but I know what you are going through and you can get healthy and enjoy life while keeping a healthy weight. Please take this seriously and call tomorrow because this is an emergency.

i worry about that too. i obsess about my weight and i feel some sort of savage pleasure when i'm in the low 90's. but then i feel bad about being smal land go eat a lot. which my fast metabolism destroys almost instantly. i don't think i qualify as anorexic and i don't want to be known for that especially since i love food. hmm mthis seems likethe blind leading the blind... ditch the slim fast and get a proper protein drink... eat normally and you'll be healthy weight. work out or run or something go to the gym eat around 7 small meals a day and u'll be skinny but healthy.

Anorexia isn't any more of a choice than schizophrenia is. And to be honest, it has been more frequently compared to schizophrenia lately in the mental health field, because it's often a similar inability to perceive reality.

Your body requires more food than you're giving it. Fear of being fat will fuel this struggle.

I dated a girl who struggled for years with an eating disorder (and the disorder had nothing to do with our breakup). I feel confident in recommending you seek professional therapy. It can help a lot to talk about this regularly.

Remember our bodies need to food to live!! Without food our bodies will die!! You need some help!! You like many others need to know that having some meat on your bones is good.

You have a disease that can only be helped from a professional. They know how to treat this so that is where it sounds like you need to be!!

I really feel sorry for you!!! Remember people are loved in every shape!! Most men love woman with meat on them.

it's not enough food for your body especially if your active if your body isnt getting enough calories it will store up fat and thats what you want to avoid try going to a nutrionist and fing out for your body type how many calories are best for you daily! god bless you and have a wonderful day!

in some studies people have been asked to smoke pot. it gives you the munchies.
