Is the ouija board evil?

Question

My friend says if you use it you will go to hell. But I dont think thats true. I have used it a couple times before., but that was a while ago and now I hear that is evil and can cause really bad things to happen.
What is your opinion? Also, if you DO think it's evil, then why?

I hear alot that It is one of satan's tools, but how do you know that?

oh ya, and if you have had any bad experiences with it, can you tell me?

You are asking a spirit to answer questions. That is not the way God works. His Holy Spirit speaks to us within our soul - He does not do parlor tricks. The Ouija board is opening a door asking satan to come in - and yes there have been things happen. When I was young, my sister and I tried it once and it did move on its own - scared us witless. We trashed it. Now that I'm older - I've learned more about the spirit world through the Word and the Power of God and the Ways of God. People get so caught up in the oohhs and aahhs of the "supernatural" events - like chairs floating across the room etc. It is really no more "fascinating" than watching a person pick up a chair and walk across the room with it. That is exactly what is happening - a demon picks up a chair and walks across the room - big deal. Knowing and understanding these things and having both the Living (Jesus) and the Written (Bible) Word inside me, I have spiritual authority over these fallen creatures. They cannot harm me, but neither do I presume upon God by putting myself in a position to "play around" with them. They are to be treated for what they are - evil, fallen spirits that are being reserved for eternal damnation in hell.

When I was younger I played with the board a lot. Nothing bad ever happened. It was interesting and a lot of fun. I believe it is real if the persons involved are serious and open. If you could have witness the times I was using the board, any doubts would become believers in the fact that it is more than just a game.

I would still use caution when using it. You can meet evil through the board. I would suggest doing a little research to protect yourself. I think if the spirit would spell out you full name, it was evil. But it has been a long time, I am not sure.

If the Ouija board really does possess some sort of undiscovered psychic ability or something like that, then the "dangers" involved are still highly exaggerated. Seriously, if Ouija boards were really that dangerous, you know that there would be parent groups out there all over the place trying to get the product banned. In this day and age, if a kid uses a toy and gets hurt, even if it's the kid's fault, they recall the toy and you never hear of it again. The fact that they even still sell the Ouija board is enough to convince me that it's nothing more than a game.

I've never tried it because of 2 separate encounters that my friends experienced. One was more negative (dramatic, really),than the other, but that one was negative as well. I would not do it unless I had with me someone who knows about those things. My friend had a seance at 16, while his parents were on vacation. When he was not able to get rid of the "spirit" that kept telling him really mean things, the doors started opening and slamming, as well s the windows(it was summer), he got so scared, that they put him to the hospital for a week with the mentally ill.
He is 37 now, but he still gets very bad expression on his face when someone mentions that episode.
If I were you, I would be happy that I got away clean, and never do that again.
we all want to know our future, but the thing is;mistakes that you'll make, you will be making anyways, because they are there to teach you the lessons you need to learn.

The ouija board is tool used to communicate with the spirit trapped here on the earthly realm. Some may be good others bad but the board itself is neither.

A ouija board will not cause evil in any form if it just sits there but the catch is once u open the gates of the spiritual world, there's no locking it back. Like electricity, u hold on to it and it will hold on to u. Be careful.

Ouija board told me I was going to be accepted to a prestigious program. Stupid piece of cardboard lied to me. I threw it out.

I think things (like Tarot cards, ouija boards, I Ching, etc.) are not evil, but the way humans use them can be evil.

The object in itself is harmless, just like a cheque in itself is just a piece of paper.

But it's what you use it for that determines if it's dangerous or not. If you use it as firewood, it's not dangerous.
If you use it to try to consult spirits, you're setting yourself up, because you're manifesting your intention to contact spirits.
If there is no spirit world, you have nothing to worry about.
If there is a spirit world, chances are you'll contact an evil spirit who will do damage to your life.

I would advise you not to use it at all even if you don't believe in God, or spirits. It's taking a risk for nothing.

Glad you asked. Using it calls on evil (demonic) spirits which is very dangerous to your spiritual health. Don't mess around with the things God tells us in the bible is evil. God loves you and wants you to come to Him and to choose to live eternally in heaven with Him someday. Don't play with this deception of satan's .. It seems innocent to the spiritually ignorant of His word, but trust God for your life, not the world. God forbids conjuring up spirits. There's a spiritual battle going on since the beginning. If you haven't invited Jesus to come into your heart, don't wait. Evil cannot dwell in the temple of God with the Holy Spirit living inside you (Your body is the temple). Battle temptation with the word of God.

I don't thinking you'll go to hell for using a ouija board, however you do open portals in which spirits from hell or who have nefarious plans can come through.

I've never heard any psychic of any repute say that using a ouija board is a good thing, most say they should be burned.

So yeah they could be considered evil and not to be messed with.
