Grandkids love the computer when they visit. We have explored my Little Pony and dragongamez ... but was hoping for something new that would impress them..

This is a GREAT website. I use it for my 7 y/o and 11 y/o in the summer to help get them ready for the next grade. There are interactive educational games for just about every subject. Scroll down to the bottom to find other grades. Good luck!

For fun, nick.com and godisney.com are my kids favorites and I know I can trust the content.

Remember that at this age it is hard for children to sit still for more than 10 - 15 minutes. Somethings you can do now. Give points for good behavior. After so many, a treat. Books can save you. Find books with pictures and a sentence on a page. Look at the pictures; talk about them. Read the sentence. Older children can copy the sentence -- practice good printing while learning English. Put labels on things like door, closet, desk, chair, water faucet, bookcase, teacher -- take them off when you leave. Have the students put them up in the next room you are using. Go on-line to Pepperdine University, or other American University. They have programs on-line that will also provide you with texts. Unless they need to learn British English.
