If I cant figure it out for myself...how can I possibly presume any of my answers or suggestions are valid?

Don't be so hard on yourself. None of us has it all figured out - but if we pay attention, we can figure out bits and pieces as we go along. Maybe 100% of your answer isn't "valid" in the sense that it might not be 100% the best response to the situation discussed, but what if 10% of it is dead on and useful to the person asking? That still leaves that person 10% better off.

There's value in having many people look at a problem, because each sees it from a different vantage point and brings different life experiences to it. Maybe one contributes a bit of the best answer, and another contributes another bit, so the person who is really thinking can put the bits that seem to fit best together into a workable answer. In navigation, that's called "triangulation," and without it, no ship could find its way to port.

Really...when I post a question, I just look for the answer that validates what I was already thinking. Isn't that what we all do anyway? We only want the answers that we like and the ones we want to hear. The best teacher is your own experience...but the internet is a close second.

you can only speak from your own experience and feelings and if you cant figure it out you are probably more interested in other peoples thoughts than answering yourself ----- and i suggest that you only answer those questions you feel comfortable with

well alot of answers are made up, some are sarcastic and mean, and most people are giving their honest opinion... I have gotten great advise on here
