Currently on 60 mg. Just went on it. Also have a small cold, some of these may be attributed to that. Currently experiencing: MAJOR dizziness; Flu-like symptoms; feelings of being detached; lack of appetite; Dizziness (yes, I know I already said that one....its bad lol); trouble sleeping (sleep for few minutes, wake up "fully rested"....only not); blurry vision (comes and goes)....You get the idea. Any ideas on if these will fade as body gets used to meds? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

You have started out at too high a dosage. You should take 30 mg/day for some time before going up to 60 mg.

I had your side effects too but I started out at a lower dose. I even took a small amout of the antidepressant I had been on along with Cymbalta so I could sleep. It was about a month or more before I could sleep good. Try to stick with it. When it starts working right, you should feel much better.

Many of the side effects of Cymbalta do decrease as time goes by. However, you should notify your doctor so you can have your blood pressure checked to make sure it isn't too low.

You may want to decrease your dosage to 30mgm once a day for a week or so, since you just started it. Or, take 30 mgm in the morning, then take another 30 mgm after lunch time. That has worked for some people.

Side Effects

In clinical studies for Cymbalta used for depression, the most common side effect was nausea. For most people, the nausea was mild to moderate, and usually subsided within one to two weeks.

Other most common side effects included (listed in order of frequency):
Dry mouth
Constipation
Decreased appetite
Fatigue
Sleepiness
Increased sweating

Most people were not bothered enough by nausea or these side effects to stop taking Cymbalta.

Your doctor may periodically check your blood pressure while you are taking Cymbalta. You should not stop taking Cymbalta without talking to your doctor.

It takes about three weeks to get your body adjusted at least in my own experience,I passed out cold the first night when getting out of bed to go to the bathroom. but my wife just slapped me awake and I have adjusted fine .
