I am 5.8" 140 pounds, and 14 yrs old. I got stretch marks on my hips when i had this huge growth spure a couple yrs ago. I feel really weird to if i can wear a 2 piece swim suit this summer or not (since its my first summer with the stretch marks). What would your reaction be to seeing a girl with stretch marks in a 2 piece??? I dont think i should haft to hold out just because i have stretch marks. I'm only 14. Any tips to how i could cover them up??????????

I've had stretch marks since my teens as well. If you want to wear a 2 pc, go for it especially while you're young.
Use some self tanning cream if you must, or buy some good vitamin E cream at your local health store and use it daily on your marks.

Funny how so many women are answering a question looking for a guys point of view. First of all in case you don't know your stretch marks will get less and less noticeable as time goes on and the change from pinkish to skin tone happens pretty fast. As far as wearing a two piece. Absolutely wear the two piece beacuase 1. You'll be more compfortible and will enjoy the summer and sun more and 2. Your 14 so a one piece will look childish and unconfident. Boys your age wont notice anything like stretch marks because they'll be worried about how skinny their arms are and wondering why they can't grow good sideburns yet.

All 14 year old girls (and guys) are overly critical with their bodies. The truth is, youth is beautiful. You will not fully realize this until you are MUCH older -- and then you will WISH you had taken LOTS of pictures of yourself! Wear that two piece proudly! SMILE a lot. It is the total package that people are looking at (and this includes your personality, which is as beautiful as you wish to make it), not one imperfection. If you ignore it, others will too.
One positive thing you CAN do is use cocoa butter on the areas to prevent them from getting any worse, and it might even make them less noticeable. But keep in mind that anyone who focuses on them is probably someone who is negative, critical, and not friend (or boyfriend) material.

Use SUNLESS tanner to make all of the skin, including stretch marks, the same color.
Wear sunscreen when in the real sun, because otherwise stretch marks will stay white or turn red while the rest of you tans.
Cocoa butter can help prevent more stretch marks if you're still growing (pregnant women use it on their bellies), and drinking lots of water helps keep your skin moist, which makes new stretch marks less likely to form.

well, if I saw a pretty girl at the beach, I probably wouldn't notice stretch marks (unless they were really, really obvious). I'm sure there are some creams that can help hide them or even make them fade, but I don't know what they are.
I'm just trying to tell you - don't worry about it so much.

First off you are 14 there should be nothing "sexy" about you to anyone right now! Who cares be young have fun! Why do teenagers worry about being sexy and attractive? Wait till you have kids if you think stretch marks are bad try cocoa butter to help remove the stretch marks! Also theres a product called mederma i think is how you spell it its expensive but it helps!

just use lotion and they wont be as bad by the time summer comes.
honestly, most stretch marks aren't that noticeable and if a guy seriously doesn't talk to you because of them, then they're shallow assholes that don't deserve the time of day.

Don't even worry about it. No one will notice. You notice more than anyone else will. You are young enough they will probably go away with time. You can get creams that will help the process along. Show your body with pride baby! I am sure you are beautiful just how you are!

Oh please, girl. I'm 14 too and really tall. I wouldn't worry about your streatch marks. The guys will probably looking more at your chest then anything else. But, they might not be as bad by the time summer comes... :))
