Well, if they're generally interested in you they will be asking you questions. Asking about what you do, where you are from, how your day is going, they'll try to keep a conversation going besides just saying what's up and walking off. They'll smile while they talk to you and be looking into your eyes. They will also see if they can get together with you or ask what you are going to be doing in the next coming weeks.

I show it by calling them for no reason other than to hear their voice, by buying little gifts or cards for no reason, sending flowers just because. The biggest way is by showing respect and listening with eye contact so that they know I really am intersted in what they are saying.
