Today the weather was nearly 80, but I think it will likely be in the 60s and low 70s when you get here.
There is a ton to see here. Best view is from the Getty (link below), which is just up the 405 from your hotel. And you'll certainly want to hit the Santa Monica pier and promenade. I will list a few links for you. You'll love it--I certainly do!

The weather has been pretty crazy lately here in LA. Almost 90 degrees yesterday and 80 today. To view weather report for the entire month of Feb, visit http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/monthly/USCA0638?from=monthAvgGraph_topnav_business
Make sure you visit Disneyland and the beaches. If you have time, try Hollywood. If you are into ethnic activities, Feb. 18 is Chinese New Year and there are lots of celebrations around. The most popular being the Asian American Expo and it will be held in Pomona Fairplex 2/10 and 2/11 with lion dances, cooking shows, eating contests, regional dances/performances, etc.

Well the LAX runway is right night to the beach, so you will be close to that no matter what...be a little cautious, depending were you are around the airport, the neighborhood could be a little "sketchy". But yes go to the in town Getty, Santa Monica Pier, The Third St. Prominade, Venice Beach, Westwood Village, UCLA ummm Have Fun...

Feb is the rainy season, altho' it's been unseasonably dry. Gets downright cold at night. Think layers.

Tonalc one million - Ontario isn't in Orange County!!! It'a in San Bernardino County and it relatively is a much extra effective option to LAX. there are different smaller airports close to LAX. it certainly relies upon on no count if the airline you fly lands or takes to the air from that airport. Burbank in all fairness on the fringe of LAX. John Wayne IS in Orange County, yet with site visitors, you're in all possibility purely extra effective off flying out of Burbank. Ontario is notably handy and basically approximately an hour faraway from LAX.
