Three main purposes to life are:

1. Learn to have faith in Jesus Christ.
2. Gain a physical body of flesh and bone which will one day be perfected and no longer subjected to pain, illness, or death.
3. Create eternal family relationships that continue beyond the grave.

I sense a rhetorical question. How very clever you must be. In fact, people who believe in a religion usually do NOT subscribe to the idea that all the answers are in a book. The Bible, for instance, tells us what we need to know for this life, and it is our job to adhere to its teaching. It does not tell us how to create a shortcut to the next world, or, indeed, give us any detailed information on what that other world is.
