It is your day. Your family shouldn't get upset about anything! They should be happy for you and your fiance' should get to have who he wants. Congratulations!

You can have anyone you want! When I got married, my husband's brother was not getting along with his girlfriend and it looked like they might break up. I did not ask her to be a bride's maid because I did not want to make her uncomfortable, or have to find someone at the last minute to take her place. Well, they stayed together and it turned out she was mad because I did not have her do anything in the wedding. You can't make everyone happy so just make sure you and your fiance are.

Blood may be thicker than water but...... The honor of being at your sides when you begin a new chapter in your life should be those who have been most important and dear to your life. I picked the friends who I'd want with me if stranded on a desert island. Not my brothers or my wifes brothers who I may love but c'mon the guy I shared a bunkbed with the first year of college was truly my best man... he endured with gusto what most would punch me in the face for.

It is your choice of who to ask to be in your bridal court. Talk to your brothers, don't assume they are upset. Maybe they are upset you can find something for them to do that day like ushers or escorts etc.
good luck

Hey, it IS the CHOICE of the Bride and Groom whom they want in their Bridal Party -- and that does NOT necessarily mean that siblings or in-laws are part of the folks standing up at your wedding.

no the groom picks who he wants and that's usually close friends and family on his side not yours .. you can have your brothers be users or guest escorts or better yet have them walk you down.. i had my brothers all 5 plus my dad walk me and how it worked was one started walking with me then after 10 steps he handed me over to my other brother and so on and so on till my dad finished the walk and gave me away.. good luck hope this helps ...
