Seriously, people will spend months, and exhaust numerous sources to make a decision on a TV or an automobile, but they seem to choose their religion either because they are born into it or just because someone along the line made an argument that appealed to them in some way.

You would think your entire worldview (and sometimes, if you believe, your eternity) would warrent a much much closer look than that Benz you've been eyeing for a few weeks.

What's more is that religions actually endorse a method of not thinking about the choice. Those who choose most blindly seem to be rewarded the greatest by their religion.

To those that will argue from personal experience i have this to say. Something made you attatch that specific significance to your experience. Had you not been exposed to Christianity, Buddhism, or whatever, it would have been something else.

I study religion all the time. I know a little about Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, and a few pagan religions. I know enough about Scientology. I know a lot about the Christian religions. Yes, there are many religions that use the name "Christian;" there are major difference between some of them, and are definitely different religions.

The Bible has the answer

There is a way that seems right unto a man, but in the end it leads to death (spiritual death).

Where will YOU spend eternity?

You have a choice
Heaven or Hell?

Choose you this day whom you will serve?

I don't know where you got this idea from, pretty much all of us spend our entire lives refining our beliefs and improving them.
