TaxAct is alright for simple, straight-forward returns. I've used it myself before, with no problems. However, because of the last-minute changes congress made in the tax laws, you will need to make sure you load all possible updates before calculating your return this year.
If you are self-employed, have investment income, rental income/expenses, overseas income/investments or other unusual situations, you might need a tax professional.
