OMG, stay away from those sneaky Americans. You never know what they'll do. What is your problem? Why would you have a problem with Americans? Are you superior? You don't say where you're from, but it's got to be Europe. Americans are not the same as our government. Just as you are not a reflection of yours. Grow up. Bigoted attitudes are not what the world needs right now.

Whats being american got to do with the price of cabbage???

I mean you really havnt explained the situation fully for anyone to give a good answer. If distance is a problem, then that can be overcome by planning to be together in the future and staying in constant contact at the moment.
If his nationality is a problem then that is a personal problem for you, and if it is one, my advice is not to date him, as it will become an issue again.

I firmly believe you should like/love/or go out with whoever you want, however, if you are culurally Indian, I would suggest running the possibility of liking/loving/or going out with someone from another culture to your parents before it ever goes beyond a causal date. Many Indian males in the US, date, fall in love with caucasian/American gals, only to end their relationships because their parents will not allow them to/or will not consent to them being with a person from another culture. Casually, mention it to your parents first and see what kind of response you get from them. It would not be fair to this guy if you pursued this relationship, fell in love and then found out your parents vehmently oppose your relationship. It would only lead to a broken heart for both of you. Trust me, I have been there :(

Well this is kind of amusing. What are you? But to keep it simple, YES, why not? But then again Why should there be ANY restrictions on who you date. American, Indian, African, whatever race or national origin you choose.

I'm guessing by your question, you're from another country. If so, then it would depend on how much you like to travel. If you marry a foreigner, you'll probably be traveling to see his family a lot.

If that's not a problem for you, go right ahead and date him.

Honestly that is so rude to consider not going out with someone because where they were born.

I don't think you guys should go out and save him the trouble of going out with someone so shallow.

Are other people the ones that are going out with him or is it going to be you? You can ask advice, but ultimately, it's up to you to make the decision.

is he nice? does he respect you? most importantly do you like him? americans aren't that bad you know. just some of them. you gotta get to know the boy first. then if you still like him great who cares about nationality? love doesn't. neither does cupid. ;)
