Hey Hi there,

Certainly you or someone who used the system has knowingly or unintentionally scheduled it.
What you need to do: Goto Control Panel,
Select "Performance and Maintenance"
Then Click "Scheduled Tasks".
Now, You'll see the (wrongly) scheduled task. Just remove it meaning delete it. That's it.

Reply when done!

You may have a scumbag on your machine. A scumbag is a collective term indicating some malice on your machine but simulteneously refers to its creator. I would run some sort of malware software specially one that looks at the registry.

As in all cases when having problems on your computer back up all your doc and vids and pix and any other important files that you need.

If you don't have anti virus try system mechanic, avg or AVAST!. The last two are free on the net.

If no one else has an account and your pc is at home, try getting rid of your password and all other accounts (including guest)

this may or may not show the welcome screen at startup

Right Click on your desktop and select "Properties." Click on "Screen Saver" tab, then unselect the "On resume display Welcome Screen" checkbox.
