The Saleen S7 is in a "super car" class as it is around the half million dollar range in price and it competes with Ferrari Enzos, Porsche Carrera GTs, Mercedes SLRs, McLaren F1s.
The Dodge Viper is in the under $100K class and competes with Corvettes, Porsche 911s, etc.
They both do well in their own classes, but they shouldn't be compared directly. The S7 wins if price is no object, but bang for the buck, the Viper wins.
Most people will someday be able to afford an old Dodge Viper, but few few few people will ever be able to afford an S7.

uhhh, Matthew M is exactly right. The Viper and the Saleen are two different vehicles in two different classes. For $595,000, you get 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, a quarter mile in 10.9 in 144 mph, and a top speed of 245 mph. It's the second fastest car in the world, aside from the twice-as-expensive Bughatti Veyron.
The Viper is a wonderful icon. Slugging 535 lb.-ft of torque and 525 hp, the Dodge is an everyday track screamer. If you can swing it, I would buy a Viper over a Corvette. It's almost as fast in a straight line.
However, in the turns, the Viper has more grip and more torque, allowing for quicker lap times.
The downside to the Dodge is that it's more prone to nab the pesky eyes of police officers, while the Corvette is more subtle.
It's up to you. If you have 600k burning a whole in your pocket, throw it at the S7.
But between the Viper and Vette, look on motortrend.com and caranddriver.com and decide for yourself.

Saleen S7 is a bit more classier and faster so that would be my choice.

saleen is much faster and much more expensive
the good thing is 2007 or 08 viper will make 600 BHP thats will be something great
