Haha, today I had one of those days where you want to curl up into a ball and die.. Depression is.. depressing. The best thing is to just sleep if you have the option. If not, maybe take a warm bath, do something relaxing, eat or drink something that you like. I know I get really snappy if I'm hungry and depressed lol.

Overcoming depression itself .. You can use pills, go to therapy, whatever.. If you're looking for another way, something I do is writing in a little notebook when I feel depressed, just to get those thoughts out of my head, I think it helps a lot.

i've tried scores of anti-depressant drugs & cymbalta has been the best for me. i've suffered from depression pretty much since my early teens (i'm in my 30's now). even with regular exercise, eating right, and staying active - as others have suggested - depression can stay with you. that's when you need to try a medical option, as i did a few years ago. i'm also trying to see if there are other physical problems (sleep disorder/thyroid) - so you should do the same if you've tried some non-medical alternatives don't work.

Do you know why you are depressed?
Maybe you can talk to a therapist to determine whether or not you need to be medicated.
Your diet has a lot to do with how you feel about yourself.
Are you eating healthy?
Some people take St. John's Wort to promote well being. It's a natural over the counter suplement.
Exercising helps produce endorphins, which make you feel good.
Good luck!

1. Do things that you usuallly like to do.
2. If its a girl or a boy, ignore them and find a new person to be with.
3. Talk with a reliable friend that wouldn't make fun of you.
4. Eat food that's is sugary, if you can or any other food you like.

I would take drugs, but I dont kno about you. Just kidding!

I really cannot answer that without knowing more about your experience with depression. Everyone has to handle depression differently. Is your depression due to some traumatic event or is it clinical?

Your question is too vague for a specific answer.

Go to a medical doctor, because it may also be a chemical imbalance. You'll need meds, and friends to talk to, or family.

Don't listen to those people to say "Find Jesus" or "Go to church". Do whatever you want to do. Discover a new hobby, take the scenic route home. Church is NOT a cure-all for depression. It will get better ... it ALWAYS does.

Your mental self-talk is very important. Become aware of negative thoughts and replace them with positive, affirmation type thoughts.
Avoid using "not" as in "I am not going to be depressed." Rather, use, "I am" thoughts, like "I am a healthy and capable person."

try and find a good therapist, try eating healthier.

try and reduce stress in your life. deal with all the little and big things that are causing you stress and/or clouding your judgement. It could be a chemical imbalance that is easily corrected with some meds or it could be something more...

If it is a chemical disorder, you would have to take medication.

Counseling (psychotherapy) is always a help.

Excercise can help.

For a grieving person, time and counseling will help.
