Not all Christians believe in Creationism. I can believe many things in the Old Testament are metaphor, and that God had a hand in shaping Evolution.

It was recorded in the Bible (Torah) about 3500 years ago. That was a long time ago, by the way. If you believe the Bible (I do), then it would need some real evidence to stand against it. There has been no evidence against creation since science has been around. Many do not believe in creation, but that alone does not discredit it at all. There has been much speculation about evolution, but so far thats all that we have-speculation, not a fact yet. Many scoffers claim that they have proof for evolution, and they are so smart as to get those ideas published as facts, even though they are not. But again, once investigated-all we have is speculation. There are many things so complex that many scientist refuse to believe that they could have evolved. This could be why Albert Einstein believed that there must have been an intelligent designer (theory of ID) even though he was not a Christian. At least he was honest about what he could not understand. Unfortunately evolutionist today are not so honest- they just scoff and say there is no God. They know that they do not have the answer. The whole structure of evolutionary thought is so big and so complex that many scientist will tell you that they do not see how it could possibly tie together. All evolutionist are lost in "Speculation Land". Take any evolutionary train of thought and trace it back to its root-and you will find that it is based on a supposition. Not one idea is based on a single fact-it is all speculation.
I don't think that the Bible is so silly after all.

I was raised to believe traditional Christian beliefs - so it may be easier for me to believe than someone who wasn't. That being said, I was also raised in an alcoholic family that had many issues - and as I reached my young adult years, I started to question a lot regarding God vs evolution. When I really started examining my life, I looked back at a life I thought was horribly sad and realized that there were so many times when I was on the road to destruction (usually because of the adults in my life) and for some unexplained reason things just turned out ok. Something would happen that wouldn't normally happen in a million years...and my fate would turn down a brighter path. I would think about things like that...and then I think about places like the beach...looking at the ocean, etc...to me, there is just no way that all of that is an accident. Some random explosion happened and all of this is here because of that? That's unbelievable to me. I hope in some way I've helped to answer your question. It's a big question - and an interesting one! :-)

It is only a feeble attempt by religion to scientifically prove something that, at this point, is not provable. Faith alone should be enough to satisfy their need to explain 'The Beginning'. But it seems as though some of that faith is secretly waivering and this 'creationist theory' may be more for THEIR peace of mind than anything else. Maybe its because of the hard evidence pointing in a direction which is unfavorable to them. Who knows? All I know is that faith by its very definition is - unflagging trust; belief without firm proof. So, if you claim to have 'faith' then what's all the fuss?

Data Droid---- You say that many scoffers "are so smart as to get those ideas published as facts, even though they are not." You also say that "once investigated-all we have is speculation."

I say "does this not hold true for the bible?"
There are many facts to support to evolution but none(000000) to support creationism. Don't be so naive.

Ok maybe this will help, faith is not blind it only appears blind to those that don't have faith. However, creation does make sense apart from any religious belief.

It is completely illogical to believe that all the works of Mozart are a result of a random explosion in space. Time must have a beginning because if infinity is behind us it is mathematically impossible to ever get to this point in time. Sounds strange when people first hear this but it’s actually a very simple math problem. Also, if the universe was infinite then all the stars would have burned out in eternity past. Which begs the obvious question, why does anything exist at all? Yes, there is a God and He is amazingly great!

Instead of going into a long dialog let me just give you this. God said seek me and you will find me. God is really not hiding and is revealed very obviously in His creation. Read the entire New Testament and then email me if you need more evidence and I will be glad to help you. Remember, we know God by faith, and you already have some, you just need to act upon it and it will grow and so will your knowledge.

Peace, Mike

I can't see any reality of things evolving from lower to higher. I just can't fathom the complexity of humans evolving from a germ or what ever. Also there is no way someone can convince me that life just started like from a rock or something. Lastly I have found every thing God says to be true so if He says He created it I have no reason to doubt. Science has its place and I love science but one needs not look far to see many many errors in science. Far more than the Bible has ever been accused of. Like all the scientists insisting on global warming when 30 years ago they all insisted on global cooling. Its the scientists who say its just a natural fluctuation and sun activity that makes sense yet no one listens to common sense anymore.

The conscious believers of the One True God, who learn the teachings and do the Will of God, see the meaning of the world of creation and the world of revelation.
People who refuse to learn dispute vainlessly about all things, from egg to chicken, from ape to man, from dust to unkowable universe.

You have to believe that creation makes sence to you. Just like One wants to believe in evolution that is the reason why one wants to beleve in Creation. Either you believe in Creation or you don't. It makes sence to me because It was how I was raised in The Christian faith.

It doesn't make any sense at all. It completely ignores all the evidence and all of science and mathematics.
