I met this guy at a club, and we met 3 days afterwards for dinner.
We kissed the first night we met. but on the date he wasnt making much physical contact like putting his arm around me whilst walking or holding my hand or touching my hand ,arm, knee anything!. im not sure whether this is because he was being a true gentleman, but at the end of the night it seemed like he wanted to kiss me but didn't really make the first move so i didnt. the thing is, he also wanted to end the night quite early as he said he had to work the next day. he seems interested, as he told me he would call me. what is this guy playing at or what does this mean...its confusing!

It sounds to me like he is just being a gentleman and respecting your space, give him time.

Believe it or not, there are guys who are responsible and go to bed early when they have to work the next day and don't work at getting intimate on the first date, and go slowly in holding hands and that sort of thing. Drop him if you don't want what appears to be a gentleman.

Maybe he was a little buzzed that night at the club and kissed a couple of girls and when you met 3 days later, he looked a bit closer and decided that you weren't the girl he thought he had called.

he didnt want you to think that yall were in a commited relationship so that explains the touching thing but the ending the date early thing is weird maybe he didnt want to keep you up cause he thought you had a life in the morning and didnt want to make you sleep in late

Sounds like he likes you and is just taking things slow. Perhaps he is afraid he'll go to far if he makes a move (not all guys are pigs and try to attack just because you agree to go out with them!). Don't try to over analyze the whole thing!!! Sometimes a date is just a date.
