The Book of James in the Holy Bible says:
James 1: 5. If any of you lack wisdome, let him ask it of God and it she be given unto him liberally and God will in no way hold back, for it shall be given unto him.
However if you want that wisdome, you will also have to accept some other things. For instance; Accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.

You underestimate yourself. You, like the rest of us, have choices to make. Sometimes we get them right, sometimes we get them wrong. Admittedly, some make more mistakes than others, but that only depends on the way you look at it.
God has given us the capacity to think, not necessarily to be intelligent, those intelligence does come into it. We can separate truth from lies, for instance, so easily by thinking for ourselves and not taking our lead from others.
