Can someone explain to me what exactly is friends with benefits is? Do u think its a good idea?

Typically it means friends that have sex with each other, but without the relationship part and the commitment.

I don't personally like the idea, and I would not participate in one. However there are people that do. My personal feeling is that sex is not something casual but an act of intimacy for loved ones that are commited to each other in a relationship. But that's just me.
