~~~today,,,,fyi,,,Omniscience is merely an attribute, or a single power within the many powers Omnipotence provides,,, therefore they do indeed "co-exist" as One is part of the Whole,,,,Another part include Omni-presense, ie; Present in all of Space and Time.
It is not certain that the two are incompatible. Presumably if one is omniscient one would be wise enough to know -when- to use their omnipotence and when not to do so.
If one assumes that - there is no real conflict, conceptually. The problem arises only when one constrains omnipotence to be 'automatic' and constantly used to manipulate what is significant only in a time limited view instead of judiciously applied and considered in the context of omniscience over eternity.
Omniscient means "all knowing". Omnipotent means "all powerful". These characteristics can most certainly co-exist in a God that is self-existant.
But the character of God also is that :
God is eternal (not defined by time),
God is Holy (righteous, without fault),
God is Immutable (He does not change),
God is Infinite (He cannot be completely defined in anyway),
God is Just (he is fair and impartial),
God is Love,
God is omnipresent (He is everywhere) as well as
God is Omniscient (he knows all,past, present and future) and
God is Omnipotent (He is able to do anything consistent with His own nature).
Because if you know what you will do in the futre, then you can't change your mind and you're not omnipotent.
If you can change your mind, then you don't know what you will do in the future and you're not omniscient.
If you are omnipotent you would be able to not know something. If you are omniscient there is nothing you don't know.
With respect to God, if God were all knowing and all powerful, he would use his power to get rid of the evil in his creation. This is called the "paradox of God's omniscience."
