Show up drunk. I have to do this frequently. I just start banging on the door, and when she answers, I say stuff along the lines of:
"What the f*** is this sh**!? Are you a f***ing a**?! That's my sh** in there! You think you own it the way I own the Welter-Weight Championship Belt!? I made a wife out of Lenix Lewis! Since I've been gone, I went to Mexico with the guys, got my haircut by a Mexican lawn-worker, a tattoo on my n**s, a prince albert, and a tattoo on my chest that says 'Long Dick Willie's'".
Shortly after that, the police normally come. But during the court hearings you can bring up the topic of getting your belongings back, and the judge will typically give them to you.

Give her a call and make sure you tell her the exact stuff that you want back, that way more than likely she will get it together for you to come by and pick up. Also, if there is anything that you can easily replace, like burnt CD's, old t-shirts, anything that might be of sentimental value to her, just let her keep it.

I would first start with an email listing the items you need to retrieve and giving her the date/time you'd like to pick them up.
If you do not receive a response in a reasonable amount of time, then follow up with a phone call.

You need to make a phone call to the ex. If you email her then she may not get on the computer everyday to check her emails.

First of all she's your ex , i don't know what kind of stuff you're talking about but the best way you should tried to call her first and if she doesn't want to answer leave a message .if she doesn't return your call , you will have no choice than show up ......

Depending on how the break up went, if it was a mutual thing, I think it's O.K. to call her. However, if it was volatile or if you dumped her or cheated on her I think your best bet would be to e-mail first and she if you get an answer. If you don't, maybe you have a friend in common that can talk to her for you. Good Luck!

Just man up and call her. I'm sure she doesn't want your stuff anymore, and likely has been trying to figure out how to get it back to you. Be nice and accommodating on the phone. You'll feel better once you get it over with.

confront her in person. calling her on the phone is old school and doesnt always work. if you email it to her she might just delete it w/o reading it. when u meet someone face to face it just works better and more efficeintly
