Besides Yahoo. It takes too long to load, I mean, it takes like 20 seconds to load on DSL, and its the only site I have trouble with. So, Whats a good emailing place?

And I noticed Ashampoo is now free, is it any good? Is it better then what I have now, Zonealarm Pro Suite 2006 (With all the updates)?

You mean I have to be invited to get a Gmail account? I just clicked sign in and make a new account...unless I misunderstood and you were talking about something else.

software firewalls are not all that effective. that's because they can only deal with viruses etc after they have made it onto your computer.

the best way to stop these attack is use a hardware firewall. this is a router with a builtin firewall.

the router gives hackers a different ip number than the one your computer has.

the firewall inside the router stops viruses etc from ever getting on your computer in the first place and stops hackers from using a port scanner to hack into your computer. don't get the wrong idea. this is not the only way to hack your computer.

as you can see it's good to have a router even if you never intend to network more than on computer.

gmail (google) is a great place for free email, but like Yahoo! you may find it slow-to-load. MSN/Hotmail is free, but remember, if you don't use it at least every 30 days they bump you off. You'll get locked into the Disney-like Microsoft world there, but it's okay if you like that sort of thing.
