Why is it that Christians, or Atheists, or Catholic, Muslims, Jews...and whatever else you are...why do we have to constantly defend our faiths on non believers. I hear so many atheists complaining that Christians preach too much, but yet I see so many mocking our beliefs. Let's get off of the I'm better than you wagon and accept that we all believe in something else. And what we believe in is making us feel better. Can anyone explain why we allow others to make us feel as though we need to explain ourselves? Open to anyone that feel as though they shouldn't be questioned on their beliefs.

Disagreeing with you isn't mocking. You of the Abrahamic religions are trying to force everyone else in the world to live by your religion. You can't think that would be going over well.

I completely agree with you. Although I am not a christian, nor am I athiest, I agree that we shouldn't bother with anyone elses beliefs. What a person believes in is their business and none of ours. Who is anyone to say they are better because they believe in something else?

Many people can't fathom why someone doesn't believe in their religion, so they mock, harass, condemn, judge etc...they are not content with someone believeing in their own way. I too face much discrimination for my beliefs as do many who believe what I do. I just let it roll off my back. Some sticks and hurts me, but I get over it. Everyone should feel free to believe what they want, and be free from persecution.

i agree with u in some of what u said but ..
"why do we have to constantly defend our faiths on non believers"
well, when someone will say bad things about my religion i should defend it!
and if u love ur religion and u think it's right, u would want everybody 2 convert 2 it.. if they don't want 2 listen,no one will force them 2 listen..

"Why can't we all just get along?" The truth will always stand up to questions. I'm no better than anyone else, I've found a way that not only works for me, it will work for everyone. Why shouldn't I tell others about it?

I don't especially care what anyone believes, but when religion takes over my government and passes laws based on religion, then I do care. This nation is in danger of becoming a theocracy, and I won't stand for it.

But we SHOULD have to defend our beliefs once in a while. If we did not, they would mean nothing. We would also not be spurred to investigate our own beliefs if no one ever questioned them.

But it is one thing to defend our beliefs and another to send them out on an offensive.

I understand it very well; thats how humans communicate. If we all thought and behaved the same, the world will be a very boring place.
