I used to wear Acuvue as well. I have really dark brown, almost black eyes, so I found it really hard to get the light ones to make a stark difference. Having said that I tried a bright blue a few years ago, and they were pretty cool. I've also had aquamarine, they looked a bit dull, and a hazel which gave a golden glow. Your opt. should let you try before you buy, and you can always just get a few of one colour and a few of another to try. I don't wear coloured ones anymore becuase I finally realised I like my eye colour better than the fakes (good for me). Contacts get infected if you don't clean them everyday. Also make sure your hands are clean. Don't wear them for longer than 8 hrs a day if you can help it and have a rest from them every now and then. Conjuncatavitus is the WORST pain in the world. Glasses can balance your face out. Again, go to the Opt and try on heaps. You don't have to decide straight away.

I had the Acuvue recommended to me because the FreshLook brand would be too uncomfortable for me.. I have allergies but also in my eyes too so i didn't want to wear something that would bug me or annoy or hurt my eyes.. That is one of the reasons i wore glasses for a long time. Glasses are great they can help give u a different look. The shape of the glasses depend on the shape of your face and eyes!!!!
those are easy to find... just go and try some on if u r not sure :)

Focus night and day are awesome.
I haven't had problem in the last 6 months you put them in for 30 days and then throw them out.
The daily disposables were good (again by Focus) but now I avoid the hassel of putting them in every morning
I've tried accuvue (Bi-focal type) but I found they tend to get hard after 8 hours of wear (the good news is you don't need reading glasses.
It's important to be aware that while manufacturers have made different sized lenses to fit most wearers, there will be some occasions (such as during blinking) where the colored portion may slide somewhat over the pupil.
Coloured?
The size of your pupil is constantly changing to accommodate varying light conditions, so sometimes, like at night, your pupil may be larger than the clear center of the lens. In these instances, your vision may be slightly affected.

I have seen African american ladies wear contacts and light colored ones look great on them.
And to make sure, consult or ask your eye doctor about contacts and if they get infected or not. Or, you could go try on various frames of glasses and see which one flatters your face the most.
