Ladies: I want you to picture this for one moment. You meet a dashing handsome man. He dresses well and presents himself well. He speaks fine and respects you. After discovering him for a moment because he approached you and you found him very physically attractive, you realized he's hearing impaired/deaf. You are so amazed he read your lips well and had a great conversation. Will this automatically put you off if you wanted to date him? Why or why not?

Free your mind AND speak with your heart and gut instincts. I want to know this from your personal point of view.

why not?? Being deaf has nothing to do with him turning me on or off, if he has a smart conversation and has something about him that would attract me to him, his hearing would be the less important. In fact i think it would be really courageous for him to start a conversation but i would like to know right away that he has hearing impairment in order to be a little bit more conscious about facing him while talking and making sure he understands everything i say to him. If he is a champ lipreareader then we could talk about ANYTHING and maybe even get married someday. Seriously, it depends on the feelings and personality of a person, not his abilities. He could be blind or in a wheelchair and still that wouldnt make any difference for me. I dont think deaf people are dissabled people, they just hear in a different way: thru vibrations, thru their hearts and souls.

yes I would date him, hearing impaired has nothing to do with the person inside. If he is sweet, tender, loving, compassionate, funny, hearing impaired means nothing. Its not presentation either, its all the little things that he reveals slowly that hook her! The most attractive well-presented man can be an a$$ and will be very unattractive.

I actually think the flaw you describe could make a beautiful woman even more beautiful. I can't quite grasp why or put a finger on it.

i would still date him because it wouldn't matter to me it wasn't his fault that he is deaf. if he can understand my lips, then we will be great. i dated a guy that was deaf and partially blind and we got along great. we lasted four years and he passed away. so it was the best i have ever had.
