I didn't eat it myself, but I made a 2' long Catfish once, and skinned it and made up a beer batter and fried it all up in peices...And made some corn on the cob and Pasta Salad, and Chips & dip (Guacamole), and some baked potatoes, with sour cream and chives! And my Ex-Husband got to where he would brag about how I could skin a Cat fish, like nobodies business! HaHa!! And what a Wonderful recipe I had for it, with the beer batter! Was quite a compliment coming from a man, who never so much as ever "Praised-Me" for anything!! I did cut them in peices, (however) the size of about 3-4" long each....So, otherwise, I just love, love, love Fish!!! All kinds, except clams!! Yuk, to chewy!!! My all time FAVE is Salmon, because biblically speaking its considered the "Clean" food to eat, in the bible (Deuteronomy). We're only suppose to eat fish with scales, and fins.....anything else, if it has one, and not the other its considered "Unclean" in the bible..... But we're also under the new "Covenant"....So, if we pray over our food and ask God to Bless it, and try to eat wise foods, that really will bless us, than we're doing GOOD!!! Okay, I'll shut-up now! Sorry! Smile!!!
