I wouldn't like it but I would not. Revolt would be my last option.

I am very opposed to the system of society in which we live today, because I lack the natural equipment to do for myself what should be done. There are thousands of my fellow men who suffer for the barest necessities of life and are tortured and humiliated by others on a daily basics.. All sad stories. We were taught under the old ethic that man's business on this earth was to look out for himself. That was the ethic of the jungle; the ethic of the wild beast. But I know, I am my brother's keeper-so in keeping with the law I would do the only things I can, speak out to injustice, peacefully show a better way, ask and write others of my questions and concerns, and do what I am able to do to help in a reasonable and orderly and controlled fashion I would not overlook it..

No one likes to look at injustice. But People can impose moral standards on powerful institutions. It is possible.

We just need to be like a little flea against injustice. Enough committed fleas biting strategically can make even the biggest dog uncomfortable and transform even the biggest nation. There is a right and wrong way to do things.

If....and only if.....you feel this man would make a good father to his son and stay clean for him after he is out of jail then I would say it would even be a good idea to let him go to the prison. It would give him a chance to see early on the consequences of bad decisions and the possibility for improvement when he is in the boys life afterwards. My mother was also in jail when I was a very young girl. I am beyond proud of her that I can now tell everyone in my life that she is clean, healthy, and has done many wonderful things for her life and others lives since then. I don't even remember details. just that she had been a bad girl and had been put in a very different kind of time out, and that i missed her, but then i forgot for a bit for nap time or recess and the like. it would also give him a chance to just be able to say to his friends. i have a daddy. no he is not with me, but he still loves me. If that is not the case then don't bother letting his father in at all. he's young enough that when the confusion passes he won't even remember the pain he feels from his classmates and as he gets older will thank you for watching out for him, even if that may take a few years. I wish you all the best. I love that you are looking for the best in people but are not deluding yourself. You are acting like a wonderful thoughtful mother. most ppl would just flop it off to a child being too young to understand and do as they please for their own feelings

Well Curts an idiot, so all people fighting an occupation of there country is a terrorist, Huh. So if America was invaded and occupied by another country, you had family imprisoned for defending there land/country. Would you not fight the people who are occuping America. Of course you probably believe that anyone besides an American is either a terrorist or a pussy.

On that note I would probably join, I am a Concious Objector so I would do my best not to take a life of another person. I would however take out as much infrastructure that the occuping force is utilizing.

The same insurgency that my brother, son or father was a member of that led to his arrest?

If you are saying people are joining the Iraq insurgency because of the pictures of prisoners being humiliated then you are dead wrong. You are either a terrorist or you are not. And if you are outraged by what happened to those prisoners, then you are likely a terrorist as well. I do not condone what they did but what those prisoners did to get there was a lot worse.

Humiliated, put them in Sing Sing, then they will get the true gist of humility. No, I wouldn't strap a bomb to my chest and run into a mall 100 miles away, blow up a bunch of people who probably never heard of the prison much less work there, and claim.....well I guess I couldn't claim much of anything at that point huh.

Not enough information in the question. Are they American citizens or do they live in a country with a government that likes "shutting up/down" its discontent? Often, Americans naturally assume that all other countries provide their criminals the same inalienable rights that we take for granted. Try visiting Africa if you think I am being overly misguided.

If my family were being tortured by one of the most powerful armies in the world, I'd probably still not join an insurgency. My death does not stop their torture or humiliation.

If your dog didn't stop to pee would hae of caught the rabbit?

Get over your childish questions already. Anyone that thinks Abu Gharib was torture is too stupid and weak to know what torture is.

No, I wouldn't because as much as I would want to, it wouldn't do any difference.By the way, why do you keep asking these questions anyway?
